Rainy Days...

Today was too wet to go to Morriston Library so we stayed in and did a mystery object quiz.
This gave us the opportunity to use powerpoint and excel on the PDA’s. A few of the clues were quite hard and no-one got the right answer for PDA button.

Fingers crossed that it is sunny next Friday so we can go to the Library.
Sue found out that Dash training in Morriston have computer access so we will find some more information about it to put on the website….thank you sue.

The Pod

Today we visited the Pod in Caemawr. The Pod is a storage unit which is not very inspiring. However it has loads of potential, with just a bit of work to make it more attractive and user friendly it could be a very useful & well used centre. They are hoping to set up some courses if there is funding available.

Looking at the school

Today we walked around the school taking videos, pictures and recording sound using the built-in Dictaphone.

Most of the group were shy (well behaved!) and didn’t want to be on camera.

Writing in word

Today we learnt how to use word on the PDA’s. We liked using the onscreen keyboard and some of us liked using the transcriber.
We then made up bluetooth stories, we each had a line to write and we put them together to make the story. We were impressed that we didn’t write anything rude!!
We all learnt how to spell llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch
Kelly made the coffee :-)

The First Lesson

We are a group of parents from Graig Infants school working on the PDA Project. Today was the first session learning how to use the PDA’s and learning basic functions such as turning it on and accessing programs such as games and the camera.
We weren’t keen on having our photo taken to tried to avoid the camera!! We also enjoyed numerous games of bubble breaker.
